My Latest CVS Deal!

Looks like a wonderful week at CVS! I never thought drug store shopping would make me so happy. :) Here's what I plan on buying this week (I'm starting with $6.99 ECB):

Transaction #1

1 pack of Huggies, on sale for $8.49 ($2 ECB, limit 1)

Use-
$1.50 Huggies coupon from 4/18 Smart Source insert
$6.99 ECB from last week

Final price- FREE, plus you get $2 in ECB's.

Transaction #2
Buy-
2 Right Guard deodorants, on sale for $2.50 each ($2.00 ECB, limit 2)

Use-
(2) $1.50 Right Guard coupons from here
$2 ECB from previous transaction

Final price - FREE, plus you get $4 in ECB's!

Transaction #3
Buy-
1 box of U by Kotex pads, liners or tampons, on sale for $4.99 ($4.99 ECB, limit 1)
(1) $1 filler item

Use-
$1 Kotex coupon from here
$1 Kotex (store) coupon from here
$4 ECB from previous transaction

Final price - FREE, plus you get $4.99 back in ECB's!

Transaction #4
Buy-
2 Crest Pro-Health toothpastes, on sale for $3.50 each ($3.50 ECB, limit 2)

Use-
(2) $0.75 Crest coupons from 5/2 PG insert
$4.99 ECB from previous transaction

Final price - $0.48, plus you get $7 back in ECB's to use for next week! :)

Summary - you'll only have to spend $0.48 (plus tax) from your pocket to get $25.48 worth of goods. PLUS, you'll have $7 in ECB to spend next week.

Why 4 transactions?? This is how you keep from spending YOUR real money. If you were to lump all of these deals together in one transaction, you would end up paying $18.49 and get $17.99 back in ECB. It's incorrect to say that you got everything for $0.50 ($18.49-$17.99 ECB) b/c you actually paid $18.49 and once this money comes out of your pocket, you aren't getting it back, not even when you spend the $17.99 ECB (you still literally spent $18.49 to get those ECB's).

Make sense?? If it doesn't, let me know.
